If you think life could not get tougher it just seems to be doubling up, when you hear about all that’s reported on the media, you know what i’m talking about, stuff like the economy, about businesses being very week, the credit crisis, stories about social break up – or on a more personal level, relationship breakups, coping with the “rat-race”. It seems with all this going on there is no let up.

“From the home environment to the work place – stress is every where, now without stress, life would be amazingly boring indeed.  Yet, we live in a time when there are abnormal levels of stress, and the truth of the matter is, we just can’t continue to accept this level and expect to perform at our best either at work or in the family place.

Suppose your family is not very supportive or  you have a arsehole boss who constantly breathing down your neck.  There never seems to be a let up.  It’s at these time when you could really turn to a friend or collegue who can listen to your “concerns.”  And, if you have such a person who will take the time and effort to listen to your heart of hearts, then keep hold of them.

Yet, if you don’t then its at these times, the services of a coach would really come in use. A coach who can provide a real positive benefit specially on your attitude…and that’s the point of this website.

There are many benefits for wanting to be coached for either business or personal requirements. Coaching in todays competitive environment is deemed an essential necessity – because of the direct competition we all have to face.

Take, “Tiger Woods”, for instance.  Not only does he have a coach for his golf game, he also has a coach to work on his inner game too.

Very important, when you consider how competitive the golf arena is, and how well he manages to perform under constant pressure.

A good coach will help you focus on what you want, set clearly defined goals, save time and effort make suggestions for change, motivate you to get started or continue on your path and generally make you feel more confident when you feel deflated.  But the most important aspect to having a coach – and having hinted on this is to before – help you with your ability to focus.

Because the more you can concentrate on say, a goal, the more you warrant its attainment, period!

All the successful people will tell you they were successful because they had a mentor.

I’ve given you an example from the sports world, how about an example from the business world.  Well, Warren Buffett comes to the mind. The great investors, would perhaps no be person he is without his mentor Benjamin Graham. The renowned and successful business investor of the earlier part of the 20th Century and also Mr Buffets first employer.

Incidentally, Mr Buffett stated on an interview he did with the BBC that his most prized qualification is one he obtained from the “Dale Carnegie School” (…”How to Win Friends and Influence People”.)  Which hangs proudly in his office. Not, his education degree!

Does that tell you something about the value of excellent communication?

According to the interview, Mr Buffett placed communicating and motivating people people as his most prized skill to have.

Which leads me to talk about the science of – Neuro-Linguistic programming, or NLP for short is the study of how language affects the nervous system.

There are coaching programs that binds verbal and non-verbal communication that helps impact our language in communicating how we represent our view of the world and how we can influence others and get better performance from them.

Lastly, if you’re in business or want to go into business, then consider this statistic:  For business that start today only 1/2 will be around in one years time.  Halve of those will not be about in five years time.  Expect just 1% (if that) to be financially viable after 8 years!

I feel its important to mention this because if you are serious about succeeding in business and not be obsolete after just one year, and its interesting to point out that those businesses that do not succeed, its not because of the state of economy as its so often touted or some other external excuse…its seems its all down to the state of mind of the business owner!
